THE TRADITION OF RELIGIOUS EDUCATION IN THE STUDY OF SOCIAL EDUCATION

Abstract: 
The problem of transfer of tradition and its significance for social pedagogy is being studying. Mechanisms of social and cultural inheritance of the traditions are associated with the processes of socialization and upbringing. Revealed that the content of traditions and forms of its transmission in the community have the pedagogical potential of social inheritance. Tradition’s content, methods of transmission and results of its consumption adopted in the tradition have pedagogical potential of the cultural inheritance. Theory religious pedagogy of Orthodox Christianity in the works of V. Zenkovsky is characterized. Values and attitudes are considered in the context of solving the problem of correlation between individual and social in man. Plan of the empirical research of educational potential in modern society is suggested.
