The article reveals the special aspects of formation of the informational and professional competence of bachelors and the conditions for the impementation of this process within the educational milieu of a higher educational institution. The problem of competence is no longer an understudied subject in the field of education. Nevertheless, in this article we articulate the concepts of competence and informational and professional competence from an author's standpoint. An important component of formation of the informational competence consists in the orientational basis of the activities, because learning of this basis will enable bachelors not only to perform orientational and trial actions in a new environment but also various actions based on the gained background knowledge and work methods. We believe that formation of the informational and professional competence of bachelors will be successful, if the educational milieu of a higher educational institution meets the necessary requirements (managerial, psychological and pedagogical, organizational requirements).
