The paper considers approaches the role of interpersonal relations in ensuring psychological safety at an educational setting. The empirical study focuses on anxieties and fears of freshmen, and impact of quality interpersonal relations on reducing the level of anxiety. The authors consider personal qualities of students that may help of hinder effective interpersonal relations. Components of emotionally safe and emotionally dangerous environments are considered.
