The article details some tools for the development of informal learning in the cyber-space (Internet). For example discussesthe basic characteristics of informal media environment based on the use of Web 2.0. The other model consists of open educational resources, which became popular thanks to the development of network forms of informal learning. A special place in the article is a review of massive open online courses (MOOC) as the most popular vehicle for the development of informal learning. In this context deals with the general concept of MOOC and classification of MOOC (cMOOC and xMOOC).
