This article considers the problems of formation of civil identity of the person in educational institutions, according to the need of competent pedagogical support of development of Russian schoolchildren identity. To do this, it is important knowledge of teachers essentially basic concepts of structure, process of formation of civil identity cards. It offers the most effective educational technologies that can be used in the course of work on the formation of Russian national identity. It is told how to solve the problem of preparation of teachers of primary education to achieve the objectives of formation of civic identity of younger schoolboys in the Nizhny Novgorod Institute of Education Development.
