Research methods include theoretical analysis, testing of professional competencies, comparison, observation, and analogies in the context of digital transformation of the educational process. Systematic analysis contains the measurement, collection, processing and visualization of large-scale volumes of both structured and unstructured information. The advantages and problems of technologies in the context of the development of the digital space of the educational process, which are a valuable resource for teachers and students, are investigated. The study analyzes the implementation of the professional development program “Big Data in the professional activity of a teacher”, which describes the improvement of the level of theoretical knowledge of employees, as well as practical skills and abilities through the introduction of information technologies, diagnostics of professional competencies, testing of new technologies in the process of implementing the program. The results obtained using big data technologies allow the teacher to better understand the educational needs of students and improve teaching methods. The development and application of big data and AI in the field of education requires technical progressivity, attentive attitude to the social responsibility of the teacher, ethical standards, and willingness to cooperate with participants in educational relations.
