PERSONALITY CHARACTERISTICS OF STUDENTS WITH DIFFERENT STRATEGIES TO ADAPT TO AN INCLUSIVE EDUCATIONAL ENVIRONMENT
Abstract:
Adaptation of students to an inclusive educational environment is considered in the context of overcoming difficult situations. Studied adaptation strategies and personality characteristics of adolescents with disabilities and their apparently healthy peers. It is shown that in the process of adaptation of healthy adolescents involve active strategies to overcome, while the main adaptation strategies adolescents with disabilities is a search strategy of social support. School children with problems of adaptation prevalent strategy of avoidance. Adolescents with disabilities to design adaptation strategies focused on the adoption of social norms, their design is achieved by considerable internal strain. Relatively healthy adolescents with structural adaptation strategies are easy to communicate, propensity to cooperate, socially bold, prefer group activities, tend to make their own decisions.
