Projects to Promote Culture and Language Learning in the System of Teacher Education

Abstract:
The purpose of this article is to comprehensively analyze and interpret the experience of the Department of Theory, History of Culture, and Museology at Novosibirsk State Pedagogical University in implementing projects aimed at promoting culture, language learning, and the formation of intercultural communication in the system of pedagogical education. The author seeks to show how the integration of cultural, semiotic, axiological, and hermeneutic approaches allows not only for a deeper understanding of cultural texts, but also for the development of critical and artistic thinking and intersemiotic recoding skills in students. Particular attention is paid to the role of the project method in the formation of professional and general cultural competencies of future teachers, as well as in the creation of an inclusive educational environment that promotes the adaptation of foreign students and strengthens international cooperation. The research methodology is based on an interdisciplinary synthesis combining qualitative and quantitative methods. The author uses a systematic cultural approach. The conclusion is that the project activities implemented by the department are an effective mechanism for forming a multicultural educational environment that promotes not only academic but also sociocultural integration of students. The author emphasizes the success of a two-pronged strategy: external (building a positive image through international projects, publications, participation in conferences) and internal (helping international students adapt by immersing them in cultural practices, participating in events, and providing tutoring). The emphasis is on the fact that this approach allows overcoming cultural stereotypes, developing dialogical thinking, and forming a readiness for intercultural interaction. Projects related to museology, archaeology, language and cultural exchanges not only enrich the educational process but also contribute to the preservation and transmission of cultural memory. The conclusion is that the project activities carried out by the department are an effective mechanism for creating a multicultural educational environment that promotes not only academic but also sociocultural integration of students. The author emphasizes the success of a two-pronged strategy: external (building a positive image through international projects, publications, and participation in conferences) and internal (helping international students adapt by immersing them in cultural practices, participating in events, and providing tutoring).
