The importance of the faculty is determined by the older generation of teachers, enthusiastic teachers, and talented organizers who have made an invaluable contribution to the formation of the Faculty of Foreign Languages and have laid the traditions of a strong scientific and methodological base. The authors turn to the life and professional activities at the university of Wolf Dieter Schmidt, Zoya Vadimovna Essebois, Jean Moisson, whose contribution to the development of the faculty is associated with their active participation in the interaction of representatives of different cultures, with the implementation of international projects, with the promotion of literature and culture of the countries of the studied language, with the introduction of new methods of teaching a foreign language and literature.
