PEDAGOGICAL SYSTEM S. A. RACHINSKY (1833–1902): HUMANISTIC ORIENTATION OF EDUCATION

Abstract: 
The article reveals pedagogical system S. A. Rachinsky - Professor of the Moscow University, which was one of the brightest representatives of social-pedagogical movement of the XIX century.He, interrupting a professorial career, devoted himself to education, became a rural teacher.Based on the analysis of pedagogical heritage of S. A. Rachinsky concluded that its educa-tional system was built on a comprehensive and deep view of the socio-cultural environment in which there were children, in which they had to live. The article highlights the value judgments of S. A. Rachinskyon stark contrast to the rural students from their urban peers: characterized by weak preschool preparation, but a deep thirst for knowledge.The materials allow to see the high praise that was given by S. A. Rachinsky potential of peasant children.He was convinced that from a teacher to a great extent depended,below inherent in the child's natural inclinations of a received development.
