Creative Activity as a Means of Correction of Emotional-Volitional Sphere in Schoolchildren with Development Delay

Abstract: 
Introduction. Problem and purpose. This article is devoted to the problem of the emotional-volitional sphere correction in schoolchildren with development delay using creative activity. The purpose of the article is to present the usage of various types of creative activity in correctional work to overcome disorders of the emotional-volitional sphere in schoolchildren with development delay. Methodology and research methods. The research is based on the methodology of the differentiated approach which takes into consideration the age and individual capabilities of the schoolchildren, as well as the gravity of the disorders. Various classifications of development delay have been analyzed and special attention has been taken into the consideration of the state of the emotional-volitional sphere. The stages of the research have been conducted to identify disorders of emotional-volitional sphere formation in children with development delay and the ways for their correction have been presented in the article. The results of the study. The results of experimental work using various types of creative activity aimed at the emotional-volitional sphere correction have been shown. Conclusion. In conclusion we would like to say that the level of the emotional-volitional sphere formation is an important indicator of a child’s personal development and one of the criteria for his (her) readiness for school.
