In article stages of development of social pedagogics in Ukraine (empirical, theoretical and standard, scientific and methodological) are defined as branches of pedagogical science, social student teaching, a subject matter and specialty at the end of the XX century up to present days. Their characteristics and the list of doctoral dissertations which are a certain contribution to development of theoretical and methodological bases of social pedagogics in Ukraine are presented.
