In article theoretical and methodological bases of education of self-esteem of the senior teenagers of boarding schools are opened. Conceptual provisions given problems, features and pedagogical conditions of education of self-esteem of teenagers in the conditions of residential establishment are considered: increase of level of progress; development of individual abilities and talents; preservation and health strengthening; creation in school collective of the humane atmosphere; granting to pupils of the help in the solution of their individual problems on experience of specialized boarding school No. 14 of Kiev.
