Diagnostics of the Translator’s Professional Competence Formation with Regional Component Included

Abstract: 
In the context of the development of international contacts, high requirements are placed on the professional competence of a translator. At the same time, an important task of professional language and translation training is to take into account the regional content component. The purpose of the article is to describe the stages, methods of control, diagnostics and results of experimental training, which allow us to confirm the working hypothesis about the effectiveness of the model for the formation of the professional competence of an interpreter, taking into account the regional component. The article presents an overview of the scientific and methodological literature on the problem of improving the quality of language and translation training, taking into account the intercultural / regional component; a brief description of the research methods and stages of the pedagogical experiment is given. The results provide a description of the main stages of experimental training; the methods of control and criteria for assessing the professional competence of a translator are considered; methods of statistical data processing, as well as the results of diagnostic and control testing, confirming the hypothesis about the effectiveness of the author’s didactic model. In conclusion, the main conclusions of the study are made; the obtained scientific and methodological results are listed.
