the main purpose of the article is the presentation of the research results, particularly the corelation between types of psychological boundaries and personality defence mechanisms of teenagers of different nationalities: Kazakhs and Russians living in the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan and Russia. The article presents a brief overview of the developmental tasks of adolescence, theoretical-methodological analysis of the concept of «defence mechanisms», «psychological boundary». The characteristic of the individual features of Kazakh and Russian adolescents is given.
