In the article are noted the problems of mastery by the students of the humanitarian profile of discipline «safety of vital activity». Together with this, the majority of students have sufficiently insignificant knowledge about the content of such key concepts in the scientifically- educational region BZHD as «system» and «systems approach». The interrelation of the triad of the concepts was studied on the basis of systems and energy-information approach to the determination of nature of danger and safety: system, energy and danger. It is substantiated, that discipline BZHD in VUZ (Institute of Higher Education) must have two steps: the general theoretical training of all students according to the united program and special preparation according to the separate practice- oriented program, for example, preparation for the work on that object, where it will arrive to work to the graduate of VUZ (Institute of Higher Education) after its end. This stage compulsorily must be reflected in the diploma (exhaust) work.
