The article describes an experiment, conducted in groups of school students and foreign and Russian adult learners studying the Russian language at Novosibirsk State Technical University. The experiment is a way of diagnosing, correcting, enhancing learners’ linguocultural knowledge and broadening their horizons. The results of the experiment are one more reason to draw attention to the problem of increasing the level of linguocultural training of young people in Russia.
