The Imperative of Verification of the Reliability of Qualitative Educational Results in Rural Schools

Abstract:
The article discusses the problem of reforming tools and mechanisms for monitoring the results of the educational process, assessing the quality of education through the use of test tasks presented at a time in the form of all-Russian test work. The subject of the study is the reasons affecting the level of students’ performance of all-Russian tests in the Russian language and mathematics in rural schools of various types. The relevance of the results obtained is determined by the need to update information on the state of teaching mathematics and the Russian language in rural schools, to involve representatives of educational authorities, school administration, teachers, teachers of a pedagogical university in solving the problem of increasing the educational results of students in mathematics and the Russian language. Purpose of the article. Update information on the state of teaching mathematics and the Russian language in rural schools, analyze the results of graduation tests as a tool for fixing the quality of education, identify “points of attention” and propose promising areas of work to improve the quality of education and the fairness of its monitoring. Methodology and research methods. The methodological basis of the study was system-activity and praxeological approaches, methods for analyzing and comparing the results of a comprehensive assessment of the educational environment in general, graduation tests, OGE, USE – in particular; as well as identifying patterns that manifest themselves in monitoring the achievements of students in accordance with the GEF. The main method undertaken during the study is a quantitative and qualitative analysis of the VLOOKUP results obtained in 2021 in 8 classes of secondary schools in two municipal districts of the Republic of Bashkortostan. Study results. The authors of the article present the results of the VLOOKUP analysis in the context of the identified dependencies of quantitative indicators on the number of tasks, their structure and content, methods for assessing their implementation, the number of students who simultaneously perform tasks, the level of qualifications of teachers and teaching methods used, and the peculiarities of the VLOOKUP organization. Conclusion. A set of measures has been proposed to adjust the methodological, information technology and other gaps in the work of teachers by developing, on the basis of system-activity and praxeological approaches, a comprehensive program of joint (possibly involving network technologies) activities of a regional pedagogical university, a regional branch of Rosobrnadzor, public education departments aimed at developing and implementing training courses of different volumes and levels for working teachers. Promising areas of work aimed at improving the results of final verification work have been highlighted.
