Social Activity of Younger Students in a Modern Primary School

Abstract:
In the modern world, the importance of activity for a person in various spheres of his life and activity is increasing. An active life position allows a person to achieve results, be independent and more confident in the future. One of the types of activity is social activity. Social activity is a conscious and purposeful activity to improve the conditions and forms of social coexistence. It records the needs, areas of activity, rules, standards, ideals that have developed in society and allows an individual member of society to realize his ideas, embody ideas, demonstrate knowledge and demonstrate a system of values. The formation of social activity begins in preschool age, since the most important social behavioral attitudes are most productively formed in childhood. During this period, the child develops a social significance of activity, claims to recognition in the social space around him. Further development of social activity occurs in primary school; its importance is due to the initial stage of the formation of activity, independence, initiative and responsibility of the personality of a primary school child. The aim of the article is to analyze the concept of “social activity of primary school students” and the criteria for its assessment. The research methodology is based on a systematic approach that allows us to consider social activity as a process of direct entry of an individual into the social environment (A. V. Mudrik); as a personality trait that is an indicator of the social significance of activity (N. N. Nikitina); as an emerging need that has specifics at each age stage of a person and depends on his personal characteristics and social experience (Yu. K. Babansky). The result of the study is the designation of criteria for assessing the social activity of a primary school child. Responsibility as the ability of an individual to make decisions and the willingness to take responsibility for their consequences. Conscientiousness is a sense of duty, responsibility, involvement in the surrounding reality. Independence is expressed in the ability to set certain goals and achieve them, acting independently and proactively. In conclusion, it is concluded that the development of social activity of primary school students is carried out subject to the following conditions: the presence of an educational environment, the acceptance of social activity as a value by the primary school student, the creation of a creative environment, and a situation of emotional experience.
