TEACHER SELF-IDENTITY IN THE HISTORICAL AND EDUATIONAL CONTEXT

Abstract: 
The article deals with the concept of self-development of the teacher in historical and educational research. The authors analyzed the experience of researchers: J.A.Kamensky, K. D. Ushinsky, V. A. Sukhomlinsky considered their point of view on the issue of self-development of the teacher. Researchers analyze the characteristics of the phenomenon of self-development of the teacher teaching in terms of the author's historical and pedagogical position and pedagogical theory. The article defines the features of a modern interpretation of the concept of self-development teacher, stated that the teaching activity is a means of self-development.Analyzedthat the teacherin modern educational processshould serveprimarilyas a person anda qualitativecondition of the personis achieved not onlydevelopment, but alsoself-development.
