The Teacher’s Readiness in the Concept of the Formation of all-Russian Сivic and Regional Identities Among Young People

Abstract:
Introduction. In the agenda of the formation of civic identity among students, the focus is now on the value-based basis of the behavior of teaching staff, which influences the formation of the worldview of future citizens of the country, and whose system of values of the all-Russian civic identity has a high level of worldview significance. The acceptance of values and meanings of civic and regional identities by teachers involves an axiological construct, the content of which is the component of “readiness to act” in solving the tasks of education aimed at preserving and strengthening traditional values. The purpose of the article is to design the structure of a teacher’s “readiness” for activities aimed at forming students’ all-Russian civic and regional identities and developing some steps to expand their competencies for implementing educational tasks. Methodology and research methods. The methodological basis is represented by the analysis of the multifactorial influence of education on the formation of civic identity among students, the sociocultural approach, in which education is viewed as a social activity related to the development of values and norms, and the cultural concept of education, in which the source of educational content is the social experience of humanity. Based on the categorical apparatus of general axiology, the specific features of a teacher’s activity and their social role are explained, serving as guidelines for their social and professional activities. The methods used include analysis, synthesis, and generalization; collection and analysis of statistical data; and design. Research results. The study allowed to design indicators reflecting qualitative manifestations of teachers’ readiness to work with the learning youth on strengthening the all-Russian civic, regional identities. In the implementation of the advanced training program on the topic of formation of the all-Russian civic, regional identities among the learning youth, the ability of educational institutions to perform a socializing role in the formation of the Russian civic identity is seen. Conclusion. Within the framework of the education system, it is important to talk about a teacher’s ability and willingness to generate civic guidelines, which is possible if their knowledge experience expands and their values change towards active and purposeful actions aimed at strengthening common Russian traditional values.
