IMPACT OF SHORT-TERM ACADEMIC MOBILITY ON PROFESSIONAL TRAINING OF A TEACHER

Abstract: 
The paper highlights the interconnection of the professional training of a graduate of a pedagogical high education institution and the quality of teaching school children in accordance with the requirements of the Federal State Standard of General Education in the context of the subjects of Foreign Language and Second Foreign Language. The authors emphasize the necessity to build linguistic and cross-cultural competences of intending teachers via participation of students in the process of organized academic mobility. The researchers examine the notion and aim of academic mobility and undertake the analysis of the condition of academic mobility of students in the Russian Federation. In the paper one can observe the results of the empiric research of the impact of short-term educational courses taken abroad (in authentic language environment) on the development of linguistic and cross-cultural components of professional pedagogical competence of intending foreign language teachers.
