SOLUTION OF THE TRAINING TASKS OF THE DISCIPLINE STRENGTH OF MATERIALS USING THE APPLICATION MODULE OF THE SOLIDWORKS SOFTWARE

Abstract:
The article is devoted to the formation of students information competence when studying mechanics of materials. An important component in the formation of information competence is the ability to apply special software in their professional activities. The article shows the topicality of the learning of software by students in the early stages of learning. This increases their readiness for engineering activities. The emphasis is placed on improving the understanding of the subject area by integration of the experimental studies and modeling finite element method. The paper presents an example use of an application module of the Solidworks software package to calculate one of the tasks of strength of materials.
Keywords:
information technologies, information competence, strength of materials, applied program.
