The Role of a Higher Education Teacher in Personalized Learning for Future Art Teachers

Abstract: 
This article provides an analysis of the role of a higher education teacher in personalized university education for future visual arts teachers based on theoretical and methodological research. A professional artist, including an artist-teacher, has always been perceived as a unique individual with creative potential, and therefore, the learning process itself requires a creative approach. Personalized education not only allows future visual arts teachers to recognize their own creative uniqueness, but also promotes the development of their ability to design their own activities and make independent decisions in non-standard situations. Research on personalization in the field of pedagogical sciences shows the importance of the personal and cultural-educational function of higher education. The teacher plays an important role in the personalized learning system. Their task is to identify the unique needs and potential of each student. The purpose of the article. The article provides a theoretical justification for the teacher’s role in the comprehensive development of the student’s personal potential in the history of education, as well as a definition of the direction of modern personalized artistic and pedagogical education, where the entire process revolves around the interaction between the teacher and the student. Methodology and research methods. The research methodology examines the concept of a teacher’s personality in different historical eras. Through the analysis and synthesis of theoretical research in the field of pedagogical sciences, the study identifies aspects of the teacher’s role in personalized learning for future art teachers. Results of the study. The article presents the results of a theoretical and practical study of the role of a higher education teacher in personalized education of future visual arts teachers. It provides an example of an effective technology for personalized education in the form of project activities. Projects that combine art, science, and technology are actively implemented at Kuban State University. These projects allow students to realize their practical, creative, and scientific potential during their educational process. Conclusion. In conclusion the article draws general conclusions that the content of the role of a higher education teacher in the context of personalized education includes a humanistic focus, a high level of competence, intelligence, and a creative approach to professional activity, with the student at the center of this content.
