The extent of investigation of education standardization problems in modern conditions: the domestic and foreign experience

Abstract: 
In this article the author analyzes the publications of Russian and foreign scientists on the problem of education standardization published over the last 6 years. The author identifies the topical issues of standardization, ambivalent trends, modern concepts and scientific approaches to solving the problem of standardization in education including: basic terms and definitions; modern socio-cultural conditions of standardization; the rationale of standardization and its role in modern conditions; the history of the development of standardization; foreign experience of standardization in education; critical reviews about the content of modern educational standards; the problem of correlation between standardization and individualization of education, the variability of education; the problem of the impact of standardization on the activities and creativity of the teacher; problematic aspects of standardization of educational work; the analysis of standardization as a special type of activity of the University; methodology of standardization and architectonics of standards. The problem of standardization of the assessment procedures is identified as requiring additional research.
