The composition of the concept of professional adaptation of servicemen of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation is examined in the article. Selected as the theoretical and methodological foundations of the concept of system, system-mind-activity and personality-activity approaches allowed to give a complete picture of the phenomenon being studied. As a result of the analysis, the author singled out the main sections of the compositional construction of the concept: general provisions; theoretical and methodological grounds; the core of the concept, which determines the features of the conception and characterizes its specificity; content-semantic content; organizational and pedagogical conditions for effective functioning; criteria for assessing the effectiveness of the process of professional adaptation of military personnel. The main criteria for assessing performance are the motivational, operational-procedural and effective criteria. The implementation of the pedagogical concept of professional adaptation will, on the whole, create a high level of adaptation of servicemen.
