The problem of “including” the history of East Asian countries in the course of history of the Middle Ages (according to the materials of the student books for the 6-th grade secondary schools of the beginning of the XXI century)

Abstract:
Problem and Aim. The relevance of the modernization of the direction and factual content of the materials contained in history textbooks is due to the risks of falsification of the described events of the past and problems with the realization of the stated goals in social and humanitarian knowledge. The purpose of the article is to analyze the content, construction and actual content of textbooks for sixth grades of secondary school of the first decade of the XXI century, regarding the history of the East Asian region, and also compare these materials with the tasks that were formulated in the Law on Education and the Ministry of the Russian Federation “On the approval of the federal component of the state educational standards for primary general, basic general and secondary (complete) general education”, which can show the correspondence or non-correspondence between the given elements. Methodology. The methodological basis of this work is the general scientific principles of the dialectical approach and historicism, the consistent application of which to the study of historical perspectives provides for an analysis of the processes taking place in their interconnection and development in a specifically historical context. The principle of historicism, which was the methodological basis of our work, also predetermined the methodology of research. Conclusion in the state standard of the first generation, attention to the history of East Asian countries was paid very little and the aspects of study were formulated in the most general way; documents and materials of textbooks can hardly be called complete. It can be assumed that this was the basis for the adoption of changes both in the state standard and in subsequent history textbooks.
