“THIS IS HOLIDAY WE CELEBRATE…”: THE FORMATION OF THE METHODS OF ORGANIZING SOVIET HOLIDAYS IN KINDERGARTEN IN THE 20–30 s.

Abstract: 
The problem and the goal. The relevance of the research is determined by the modernization of modern pre-school education and the search for new methods and methods of organizing events for children. In this regard, the traditions accumulated in the Soviet system are of undoubted research interest. The purpose of the article is to identify the source potential of the journal “Preschool Education” in identifying the organization of the system of holidays in kindergartens in the 1920s and 30s. – in the period of formation of preschool institutions. Methodology. The theoretical basis of the article was ideas about the festive children’s culture, developed in sociological, cultural and historical knowledge. Methodologically, the work was built in the framework of the approaches of M. Rolf, K. Kelly, M. Kostyukhina. As a result, it is concluded that the scientific novelty and theoretical significance of the study allows the use of some techniques for organizing modern holidays in preschool institutions. The article may be useful to researchers involved in the history of children’s everyday life, the history of Soviet society and festive culture / rituals. The analysis of the journal’s articles allowed determining the goals and tasks of forming the festive culture of preschool children of the Soviet period, identifying the main methodological approaches in organizing holidays in kindergarten. The approaches to the selection of the content of the holiday are analyzed, the main teaching methods are described, the scenery and costumes of the children are described.
