Evolution of approaches to the organization of comparative pedagogical research

Abstract: 
The issue and the aim. The article is devoted to the problematic field of comparative pedagogy. The author indicates the time frame for the development of comparative pedagogical research, design them in the scientific direction. The sources of comparative pedagogy, the problem of the correlation of domestic and foreign experience in education are analyzed. The article is to analyze the formation and development history of the comparative research theory and practice and to study the topics of the comparative education research which are topical for the Russian comparative linguistics. Methodology. The research is based on the comparative historical approach which makes it possible to compare and analyze the issue under study in its historical dynamics and in certain historical development conditions taking into account the influence of socio-economic factors. Research methods: The author applies the method of analysis and synthesis, comparison, generalization and interpretation. The leading approaches to the organization of comparative education research and its topics which are based on domestic comparatists’ studies are described, the authors of the first scientific publications arguing in favour of comparative research are listed. It is concluded that there are similar trends in the adoption of pedagogical ideas in Russia and abroad. In conclusion the author argues the renewal of the problem field of comparative pedagogy, for this purpose describes the topics of the comparative education research which are important for the Russian comparative linguistics based on the results of the activities of the Scientific Council on Comparative Education on the basis of the Institute for Strategy of Education Development of the Russian Academy of Education in 2018.
