Webinar platform as an instrument for organising lecturing in the system of postraduate medical education

Abstract: 
One of the promising directions in improving the qualifications of doctors is conducting classes in webinar format as an alternative to the traditional forms of classroom training. The purpose of the article is to substantiate the expediency of holding lectures in the format of webinars in the system of continuous medical education. The article considers the use of webinars as an instrument for lecturing on advanced training cycles for doctors and health professionals at the Novosibirsk State Medical University, presents the advantages and disadvantages of using this instrument. The research part of the article describes the experience of lecturing on the cycles of advanced training of doctors using the webinar platform, presents the stages of preparation for the webinar, demonstrates the form of the questionnaire about evaluation of listeners satisfaction. The results of the study. Analysis of the results of the survey of students carried out at the end of the lecture course showed that 95 % of respondents have found the level of knowledge value gained during webinars high for professional development, the availability, completeness and accuracy of information materials received during webinars were highly appreciated. The respondents also praised the technical support, the availability of information and the possibility of feedback at the lectures through the webinar platform and found it expedient to conduct classes in this form. Conclusion. Thus, the webinar platform can be used as an effective pedagogical instrument in the system of continuing medical education.
