The article discusses the demand of today's college graduates in the labor market. The author reveals peculiar features of modern young students, and identifies conditions for successful employment of the graduates. The reasons of students’ unemployment, the features and the main directions of prevention of labor unemployment for young students are described. We consider the educational system of prevention of labor unemployment as a tool for students focused on the influence of the professional identity of the future graduate. The article prevention of labor unemployment of students - future graduates defined as one of the top priorities of the university for the preparation and production of competitive specialists in the modern labor market.
