THE CONCEPT CONTENT «HOLISTIC APPROACH IN GENERAL EDUCATION» IN THE HISTORY OF PEDAGOGICAL THOUGHT

Abstract: 
The article analyses views of theorists of pedagogical thought on integral educational process at schools. Integrating views of theorists of pedagogical thought on essence of educational process allowed the authors to give a definition of the term "holistic approach in general education". The article demonstrates that the realization of the holistic approach in general education proposing solution of the problem of integrating principles. Among them: selection and systematization of scientific knowledge of natural sciences and humanities according to age potentialities of secondary school students, correlation of theory and practice in educational process, correlation of learning and educational principles, forming and development of power of apprehension and creative potential of secondary school students.
