Interactive Text Techniques at English Lessons

Abstract: 
The problem of perceiving textual information remains one of the most relevant at the present time due to the fact that with the increased volume of information, most of it is not extracted from the text for a number of reasons. The article discusses interactive techniques for working with text as one of the ways of active perception and processing of text information. The purpose of the article is a theoretical analysis of interactive methods and techniques of teaching, as well as the implementation of classes in English using interactive techniques of teaching students reading to improve their reading competence. Research methodology and methods. The article is written using a descriptive method by means of collecting, summarizing and analyzing the literature on the problem; the authors employ an experimental method to identify the effectiveness of interactive techniques for teaching reading. The material for the work was based on the results of research by Russian and foreign authors devoted to the problem of interactive learning. Conclusion. It is worth noting the role of interactive methods of teaching students reading not only in the development of their reading competence, but also in the development of their intercultural competence and communicative competence, which allows us to consider them as techniques that increase the activity of students.
