R. U. VIPPER AND DEVELOPMENT OF THE SCHOOL HISTORY TEACHING IN THE EARLY QUARTER OF THE 20TH CENTURY

Abstract: 
The author analyses the didactic heritage of the outstanding Russian and Soviet historian R.U.Vipper. It was reflected to the full extent in writing the text books for secondary school. School literature about ancient history, Middle Ages and New Age is being investigated in the article. It is being done from the point of view of innovate methodic ways which had been applied by Vipper in the system of the school history teaching in the early quarter of the 20th century. The focus is being done on the actual pedagogical practice which can be applied in the modern school. Along with this one can see Vipper’s both theoretical and methodical views which have their reflection on the pages of school books.
