Abstract:
The article actualizes the problem of organizing and using digital technologies in the form of podcasting as one of the effective tools of educational strategy in teaching a professional foreign language at an aviation university. The significant potential of podcasting for improving the quality of the educational process is emphasized. The purpose of the article is to analyze the experience of using podcasts as a tool of educational strategy in teaching a professional foreign language at an aviation university. The research methodology includes theoretical justification, analysis and generalization of the obtained data and a methodical search for the most optimal ways to involve all participants in the educational process using podcasts. Research methods. The following research methods were used: analysis of pedagogical, socio-psychological, scientific-methodical and special professional literature on the research problem; the method of included observation, pedagogical experiment, analysis and processing of experimental data and reflection. Research results. The article presents two main objectives related to the study of a professional foreign language for pilots and dispatchers, focusing on the study of aviation phraseology for radio communication in English according to ICAO standards and for students who have chosen the specialty of aircraft maintenance and repair, whose level of aviation English proficiency is somewhat different. This category of specialists should mainly be able to read aircraft maintenance manuals written in English, understand them and communicate with foreign pilots on issues of malfunctions detected by them in the air. In conclusion, it is concluded that the obtained results give grounds to conclude that podcasts can be an effective means of increasing the level of student engagement in the learning process, significantly improving the results in aviation English and creating a more favorable learning environment for students.
