Narrative interview as a research method out-of-school everyday life of Soviet schoolchildren

Abstract: 
Problem and Aim. The relevance of the modernization of historical and pedagogical methods is due to the risks of falsification of the events of the recent past and the implementation of the modern anthropological approach in social and humanitarian knowledge. The purpose of the article is to present the approaches and practical solutions implemented in the development of narrative interviews as a method of historical and pedagogical research of extracurricular daily life of Soviet schoolchildren. Methodology. The theoretical basis for the development of the methodology of narrative interviews as a method of historical and pedagogical research was the idea of everyday life, developed in philosophical, sociological and historical knowledge. In the design, the authors relied on the methodology of narrative interviews (F. Schütz). An important role in the development was played by the results of a pilot study in the spring of 2018. In a joint design was developed the form of narrative interviews, the sampling design, training of interviewers, the procedure of processing of empirical data. The scientific novelty and theoretical significance of the article is to develop and substantiate the concept of narrative interview as a method of research of out-of-school everyday life of Soviet schoolchildren. The practical significance of the article consists in the description of the methodological aspects of social and pedagogical reconstruction of extracurricular daily life. The article can be useful for researchers working on solving identical problems. The methodology of using narrative interviews can be adjusted in the process of repeated implementation of the research project. The provisions of the article were presented at the V-th all-Russian scientific and practical conference “the Child in the modern educational space of the metropolis” IPPO MSPU (5–6 April 2018).
